Here we go heading into week two. Five of the ten games picked last week were decided by a touchdown or less—including the each of the number one games.
Kickoff of the first games of the 2025 OHSAA high school football season are 50 days away from today. Locally, the first games will be Calvert visiting Mohawk, Colonel Crawford traveling to Milford Center to face Fairbanks, and River Valley at Elgin on Thursday evening, Aug. 21. All of those games are set for a 7 p.m. kickoff.

Carey’s Rachel Reinhart nailed five three-pointers, and the Blue Devils opened the second half on a 13-0 run that created an insurmountable lead on their way to a 58-42 home win over Mohawk last night.
On a fourth-and-one late in the fourth quarter, Mohawk’s Kaleb Bish took the ball on a rush up the middle then cut to the left sideline before diving into the end zone to put the game out of reach for Northern 10 opponent Carey last night, 27-14.
