Welcome back everyone! Thanks again to Drew Pasteur's Fantastic 50, Joe Eitel, MaxPreps, 247sports, OhioHSHelmts, and many others who make this article possible. Thanks to Nate Mullins of Heart of Ohio Sports for allowing me a platform to write this article each week. Finally, thank YOU for reading. I'm considering doing a playoff edition next week, but we'll see who all gets in locally.
Lots of great games this week. A lot of conference titles are up for grabs still throughout the area and state.
So, I dialed back competitiveness to 33.3% with rankings, combined wins, and top recruits to 22.2% each. We’ll see how this week turns out. My sources for the data and information used to compile the game list is JoeEitel.com, fantastic50.net, 247sports.com, and maxpreps.com along with individual school or league websites. Also, the honorable mention for the state games will now be one game per district to try to feature at least one game from each district in the state.
NORTH ROBINSON — Colonel Crawford’s Connor McMichal rushed for 369 yards and four touchdowns on 24 attempts to carry the Eagles over Seneca East in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference matchup at home Friday night, 31-0.
I read your comments and tweaked the analytics a bit. Now, the metrics are 40% competitiveness, 20% rankings, 20% combined wins, and 20% college prospects. I personally think watching some D-I prospects balling out makes for a great game—even if the game doesn’t end up close. If games ending with slim point differential is your preference then I’ll give y’all what you want. Enjoy!
SYCAMORE — Mohawk took care of business during their Homecoming game on Friday night at Warrior Field. The Warriors piled it on Buckeye Central, 48-0, in Northern 10 Conference play.
I want to thank ohiohshelmets.com for the work that they do over there. Without their hard work, these articles wouldn’t have the great graphics that I make every week for these matchups. So thank you.
Another great week of tough matchups to choose from.
Welcome back for week five of the season. We’ve had some great games so far, and it’s been really tough again to put these lists together with so many quality matchups to choose from.
Midway through the fourth quarter, Colonel Crawford senior quarterback Peyton Baker kept it up the middle making a cut to the left to outmaneuver Mohawk defenders on his way to a 23-yard go-ahead touchdown in a close one at Warrior Field on Friday night. The Eagles prevailed in Northern 10 Conference action, 24-21.
